I have the same tv. Its because we got the SPECIAL Black Friday tv's. It was advertised as having its own browser and at the time it didn't but it must be because of all the people who just got them for Christmas and realized their tv was missing a whole bunch of stuff and flooded the help lines because they did a firmware update and it has the Opera browser now. However u CANNOT just load any old app on there. It has to come from their wonderful VEWD STORE. U know the one with all the latest apps from 2007. I just went ahead and bought a new Amazon fire box and don't use any apps at all that come with the tv or that VEWD store.

I don't even use their Netflix built in app. I put it on the fire box too because it supports 4k content just like the tv. We actually got pretty lucky, A lot of people that purchased these got home and they didn't even turn on. The cashier told me that. Just get a stick or box because other than that its a great tv for the price.

Hi I was just wondering if anyone knew how to install non Samsung apps on the Samsung smart TV UE40H6400 series 6? There is a tutorial all over the internet showing how to do this on earlier models which can be done on this model up to a certain point.

It guides you to create a developer account and then transfer apps over from your pc. One of the steps tells you to go to the 'more apps' button at the bottom of the smart hub screen. Unfortunately this is nowhere to be found on my model.

It is a real let down that Samsung do not allow you to install Google apps on there televisions. I am living in Ireland and my TV provider UPC allow you to get their channels on as many devices as you want within your network using their app Horizon TV which you need to get through Google play.

My D-Link NAS hard drive also cannot be detected by the television. One solution that I was thinking of was to get a Roku device but does anyone know if they have the Google Play store on them or do I have to get an android streaming device? Thank you for reading and your time.
